Academic integrity refers to the values listed below that underpin all academic work (Centre for Academic Integrity 1999). They guide the behaviour of everyone in the academic world, including students, teachers and scholars.

What is Academic Misconduct?
Academic misconduct occurs when staff or students violate the values of academic integrity. UniSA's Assessment Policies and Procedures Manual 2014 (Section 9.2.1) identifies eight types of academic misconduct, which are explained in more detail in this module.
Some examples include:
copying work from other sources
not accurately following referencing conventions when including quotations, paraphrases, data, images or calculations from other sources
getting other people to write your work
submitting work that has already been submitted
cheating in exams
falsifying documents
