  • Familiarising yourself with referencing style conventions is an important academic skill.  It may take some time to understand and lots of practice to get right.

In this section of the Referencing site you will find information and resources for a variety of referencing styles.  First, check your course sites for information on which referencing style you are expected to use in your studies, and whether your lecturers and tutors have a preferred style guide for you to follow.  Then, click on the relevant referencing style guide links below (or in the menu tab on the left side of the screen).  Here you will find links and resources to help you learn about formatting conventions and referencing principles of that style, so that you can make informed decisions about how you will include your references in your assignments.
