Key Do's and Don'ts to consider for poster design
Do's
- Maximise contrast between the text and background colour
- Organise content in clearly labelled sections
- Ensure good alignment of your content
- Use bullet points and focus on key messages
- Use sans serif fonts like Arial as they are easier to read
- Use tables, images and graphs
- Make sure you have the proper permission to use any images
Don'ts
- Use neon colours
- Scatter information across your poster
- Forget to include references
- Have too much text
