For benchmarking purposes, the key data and findings are contained in the Interviews with grant applicants and Online questionnaire results sections. The various themes drawn from the interview data will be useful not only to staff who develop, implement or manage resources, processes and activities to support applicants, but also to the applicants themselves. It will enable applicants to gain insights into the experiences of, and advice from, people who have been through the application process and, for many, had success in winning grants. The online questionnaire data and related discussion will be of particular use to staff who develop resources, processes and activities to support applicants. The data from the 35 participant institutions across the sector will enable comparisons to be made across a range of approaches.
The Glossary of related terms will be of particular use to grant applicants, helping to build their understanding of words, terms and concepts that are foundational to OLT teaching grants.
The section titled Online communication platform specifically targets OLT Institutional Contact Officers (ICOs) to ascertain their thoughts on two draft online platforms that could act as ‘general communication platforms’ to canvass issues and promote resources for learning and teaching grants (and, perhaps at some stage, awards).
Other sections provide information on the project details, the project team, and academic outputs associated with the ethics-compliant research conducted by the project.
Questions about this project can be directed to Dr Gavin Sanderson, Project Co-leader (Australia) or Dr Sean Sturm, Project Co-leader (New Zealand).
