UniSA Creative Negotiated Study courses are usually only available to students with a GPA of 4.5 or above.
UniSA Creative Negotiated Study courses provide opportunities for students to construct and complete an independent study under the facilitation of a nominated lecturer. These self-directed courses are based on a written agreement between the supervising lecturer and student, in which the student agrees to independently research and produce work in accordance with the stated objectives of the proposal.
It is the responsibility of the student to identify an area of research which is then negotiated with a lecturer. It is at the discretion of the nominated lecturer whether they accept the role of facilitator and agree to the student’s proposed study.
Students complete a proposal and gain agreement between themselves and the facilitating lecturer. This is then approved by the relevant Program Director. All parties should retain a copy of the agreement.
The completed UniSA Creative Negotiated Study form should be submitted to the Academic Services team via the Unit Office on Level 3 of the Kaurna building.
