Max is highly experienced in the area of doctoral education having led its development at Monash University over a long period and having recently had a PhD scholarship at that university named after him.

In the paper, Max provides some answers to a question he says he was frequently asked: 'what advice should give to supervisors involved in joint supervision?' He is currently developing the paper further and intends publishing it and has kindly said that he's happy for the draft paper to be included in this resource.

In the paper he discusses the following aspects of the issue:

    • Why has joint supervision become more popular?
