Add a Resource

Here you can find our help resources on adding course resources to your site. Resources are usually things that the student can view and use, but they are not designed for student interaction. We have help on the following resources:

Add a Book

Turn editing on

  1. Select Turn editing on

The page will refresh.

Select add an activity or resource

  1. Select Add an activity or resource

Add a Book

  1. Select Book.
  2. Select Add.

Adding a new Book

  1. Enter the name of the Book.
  2. Enter the description of the Book.
  3. Select whether you wish to display the description of the book on the course page.
  4. Complete the appearance settings if required.
  5. Change the common module settings if required.
  6. Select if you wish to restrict access to the Book.
  7. Select if you wish to track activity completion of the Book.
  8. Select if you wish to add tags to the Book.
  9. Select Save and display.

Editing chapter

  1. Enter the title of the book chapter.
  2. Enter if you wish the chapter to be a subchapter.
  3. Enter your content.
  4. Select Save changes.

Edit a book

Book chapter

  1. Select to edit your book chapter.
  2. Select to delete your book chapter.
  3. Select to hide your book chapter.
  4. Select to add another book chapter or subchapter.
  5. Select to exit your book.

Add a File

Turn editing on

  1. Select Turn editing on

The page will refresh.

Select add an activity or resource

  1. Select Add an activity or resource

Add a File

  1. Select File.
  2. Select Add.

Adding a new File

  1. Enter the name of the File
  2. Enter the description of the File.
  3. Select whether you wish to display the description of the File on the course page.
  4. Drag and drop the File, or select the file by browsing, you wish to add.
  5. Complete the appearance settings if required.
  6. Change the common module settings if required.
  7. Select if you wish to restrict access to the File.
  8. Select if you wish to track activity completion of the File.
  9. Select if you wish to add tags to the File.
  10. Select Save and return to course.

Add an iSpring Pro or interactive File

Turn editing on

  1. Select Turn editing on

The page will refresh.

  1. Select Add an activity or resource

Add a File

  1. Select File.
  2. Select Add.

Adding a new File

  1. Enter the name of the File
  2. Enter the description of the File.
  3. Select whether you wish to display the description of the File on the course page.
  4. Drag and drop the Zipped Fold you wish to add.
    1. Once the icon has appeared for the Zipped Folder click on it.
    2. Click on UnZip.
    3. Single left click on the folder.
    4. Click on File called: index.htm.
    5. Click on Set Main File.
  5. Select Appearance and change Display to In pop-up.
  6. Change the common module settings if required.
  7. Select if you wish to restrict access to the File.
  8. Select if you wish to track activity completion of the File.
  9. Select if you wish to add tags to the File.
  10. Select Save and return to course.

Add a Folder

Turn editing on

  1. Select Turn editing on

Add a Folder

  1. Select Folder.
  2. Select Add.

Upload a folder

  1. Enter the name of the Folder.
  2. Enter the description of the Folder.
  3. Select whether you wish to display the description of the folder on the course page.
  4. Drag and drop the Folder you wish to add.
  5. Select to display the Folder contents.
  6. Select to show sub-folders expanded.
  7. Select to show the Download Folder button
  8. Change the common module settings if required.
  9. Select if you wish to restrict access to the Folder.
  10. Select if you wish to track activity completion of the Folder.
  11. Select if you wish to add tags to the Folder
  12. Select Save and return to course.

Add a Label

Turn editing on

  1. Select Turn editing on

Add a Label

  1. Select Label.
  2. Select Add.

Adding a new label

  1. Enter the Label text.
  2. Change the common module settings if required.
  3. Select if you wish to restrict access to the Label.
  4. Select if you wish to track activity completion of the Label.
  5. Select if you wish to add tags to the Label
  6. Select Save and return to course.

Restrict Access to a Label

Restrict access

If you are using Restrict Access within a Label so that only a certain group of students can see the Label:

  1. Click on the 'eye' hide the Label from all but the people in the selected group.
  2. Select the group or grouping of the students who are permitted to see the label.

Add a Lightbox Gallery

Turn editing on

  1. Select Turn editing on.

The page will refresh.

Select add an activity or resource

  1. Select Add an activity or resource.

Select Lightbox Gallery

  1. Select Lightbox Gallery.
  2. Select Add.

Adding a Lightbox Gallery

  1. Enter the name of the Lightbox Gallery.
  2. Enter a description for the Lightbox Gallery.
  3. Select the number of images to show on each page.
  4. Select to display the full caption text with the graphics in the Lightbox Gallery.
  5. Enter the preferred position for the caption.
  6. Select to allow the images in the Lightbox Gallery to automatically resize relative to the screen or uploaded image size.
  7. Select to allow users to add comments to the Lightbox Gallery images.
  8. Select to make the Lightbox Gallery public.
  9. Select to allow RSS feeds.
  10. Select to show additional information about the images in the Lightbox Gallery.
  11. Change the common module settings if required.
  12. Select if you wish to restrict access to the Lightbox Gallery.
  13. Select if you wish to track activity completion of the Lightbox Gallery.
  14. Select if you wish to add tags to the Lightbox Gallery.
  15. Select Save and return to course.

Add a Page

Turn editing on

  1. Select Turn editing on

  2. Select Add.

Adding a new Page

  1. Enter the name of the Page.
  2. Enter a description of the Page.
  3. Select whether you wish to display the description of the Page on the course page.
  4. Enter the content of your Page.
  5. Change the appearance settings if required.
  6. Change the common module settings if required.
  7. Select if you wish to restrict access to the Page.
  8. Select if you wish to track activity completion of the Page.
  9. Select if you wish to add tags to the Page.
  10. Select Save and return to course.

Add a UniSA Media Library

Turn editing on

  1. Select Turn editing on.

Adding a Media Library

  1. Select UniSA Media Library.
  2. Select Add.

UniSA Media Library settings

  1. Enter the activity name associated with the video.
  2. Enter the summary of the activity.
  3. Select the required method of display of the video.
  4. Select to display the activity name when the video is started.
  5. Select to display the activity description when the video is started.
  6. Select the media file to upload.
  7. Change the common module settings if required.
  8. Select if you wish to restrict access to the activity.
  9. Select if you wish to track activity completion of the activity.
  10. Select if you wish to add tags to the activity.
  11. Select Save and return to course.

Add a URL

Turn editing on

  1. Select Turn editing on

Add a URL

  1. Select URL.
  2. Select Add.

Adding a new URL

  1. Enter the name of the URL.
  2. Cut and past the URL of the website you wish to link to or select using Choose a link.
  3. Enter a description of the URL.
  4. Select whether you wish to display the description of the book on the course page.
  5. Complete the appearance settings if required.
  6. Select the URL variables if required.
  7. Change the common module settings if required.
  8. Select if you wish to restrict access to the URL visited.
  9. Select if you wish to track activity completion of the URL visited.
  10. Select if you wish to add tags to the URL.
  11. Select Save and return to course.
