Lecture Recordings

Edit recording

Note: Lecture recordings can only be edited within 28 days of recording.

The Echo360 login window will display.

Logon to Echo360

  • Enter User Name.
    Note: Use your normal UniSA User name.
  • Enter Password.
    Note: Use your normal UniSA password.
  • Select Log In.

Select the Echoes tab

  • Select Echoes.

Highlight the recording to be edited

  • Highlight the recording to be edited.

Select Edit Echo

  • Select edit.

Select Edit Media

  • Select Edit Media.

The following warning may display.
Note: Choose the action according to your operating system

Windows XP

Select Yes

  • Select Yes.

Windows 7

Select No

  • Select No.

The presentation will load.

Loading Presentation Editor

The View/Edit window will open.

Select the Edit tab

  • Select Edit.

The following functions can be performed:

Review original recording.

Select Play Media

  • Select Play.

You may want to write down the time where you want the edit to begin and end as the playhead moves along the timeline.

Elapsed Time

  • The time is displayed in hh:mm:ss.

Trim the beginning or end

Trim the beginning

  • Drag the left slider to trim the beginning of the recording.

Trim the end

  • Drag the right slider to trim the end of the recording.

Cut a segment

Drag Playhead to start of edit

  • Drag the playhead to the required start position on the timeline.

Set marker start time

  • Select Set Marker Start Time.
    Note: This will automatically snap the marker to the timeline position.

Set marker end time

  • Drag the playhead to the required end position on the timeline.

Set marker end time

  • Select Set Marker End Time.
    Note: This will automatically snap the marker to the timeline position.

Select Create Cut

  • Select Create Cut.

Preview recording

Select the Preview tab

  • Select Preview.

Select Play Media

  • Select Play.

Publish recording

Select Publish

  • Select Publish.

The Edit Overview window will display.

A. Edited recording information.
B. Enter a note to describe the edits made (optional).
C. Save without publishing.
D. Save and publish.

The Completion Status window will display.

Close window

  • Close window.

An email will be received once the recorded lecture has been published to the Course site.
