RPL for assessment
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) for assessment
The following procedure must be undertaken if exemption from undertaking an assessment piece has been granted in respect of recognition of prior learning. Refer to clause 19.4 in the Recognition of Prior Learning Policy A-13.20
How you record in learnonline that an assessment piece does not need to be undertaken in lieu of RPL varies depending on the overarching grading scheme.
If the grading scheme is “non-graded”, an NGP can be awarded for the RPL exempt assessment piece.
If the grading scheme is “graded” no mark should be entered for the RPL exempt assessment piece. The Course Coordinator will need to access Result Entry and resolve the “warning flag” (for missing assessment marks) by applying an overall grade for the course that reflects the grade average achieved for submitted assignments.
