Copy or Create a Course

The process for copying and creating a course is very similar.

  1. Follow the instruction on Accessing your Course to access the Task List for your course.
  2. If you want to copy a previously run course, click 'Copy a learnonline website'. number 1 grey 
    Go to Copy a Previous Course Site.
  3. If you want to create a blank course, click 'Create a learnonline website'. number 2 grey

Copy a Previous Course Site to new Offering

  1. Select the Course Offerings you want to be included on the course site - you must select at least one. number 1 grey
  2. Select a site to Copy the content from an existing coursenumber 2 grey
  3. Select a Course Start Date - this can be changed once the site is created. number 3 grey
  4. Click Nextnumber 4 grey

  5. The next screen will ask you to confirm the course copy details, if you are happy with the summary, click Create CourseIf you are not happy click Back and make appropriate changes.

  6. After you have created the course, the below message will display:

    Note: Wait for this email from the system before editing the site or any changes made before the system has finished copying will be lost.

Create a Blank Course Site

  1. Select the Course Offerings you want to be included on the course site. number 1 grey
  2. Select a Course Start Datenumber 2 grey
  3. Select a Website Formatnumber 3 grey
  4. Enter Number of Sectionsnumber 4 grey
  5. Click Nextnumber 5 grey

  6. As with copying a course, the next screen will ask you to confirm the course details, if you are happy with the summary, click Create CourseIf you are not happy click Back and make appropriate changes.
  7. After you have created the course, you will receive an email when it's ready. This process is often quicker for new courses as no content needs to be copied.
