The list below represents in-industry opportunities that are available to apply for. Students must apply for and secure their own in-industry opportunity, and follow the processes outlined in the previous section to have it approved by the university before commencing their in-industry placement.

IMPORTANT: No student is allowed to undertake their In-Industry Experience Placement without PRIOR approval from the Industry Experience Team.

The final decision regarding student selection rests solely with the host organisation.

Through the scholarship program, you will have the opportunity to receive financial support valued at $7,500 AUD, distributed in two equal payments during your final two years of study. The scholarship also includes a 12 week paid summer internship and opportunity to join as a Graduate upon the completion of your degree.

Applidyne Design Engineering Internship

The Applidyne Engineering Design Internship is open to all students who are enrolled full time in a Bachelor of Engineering degree in either the Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aerospace or Automotive stream and are currently in their penultimate year of study.

This paid placement is ideally suited to students who love to design and build things and is not solely awarded based on academic performance.

The successful student will receive:

  • Paid vacation employment (at graduate salary) in the 2024/2025 summer holidays
  • An additional $3,000 award
  • Potential employment at Applidyne Australia Pty Ltd after completion of their engineering degree

Selection will be based on:

  • Completion of the online application form.
  • Results of a 1 hour test conducted online.
