IMPORTANT: No student is allowed to undertake their In-Industry Experience Placement without PRIOR approval from the Industry Experience Team.

Papyrus Australia Papyrus Australia is a pioneer in converting banana plantation waste into valuable fibre and eco-friendly packaging products. Our mission is to develop and commercialise technology that creates a circular economy from agricultural waste, with operations spanning Australia, Egypt, and Vietnam.


    As part of the industry experience placement, you will work alongside our lead engineer at the UniSA Mawson Lakes campus, contributing to key phases of our pilot plant operations and scale-up activities.

    • Duration: January – February 2026 (6-8 weeks full-time preferred, flexible hours)

    • Location: Mawson Lakes

    Your tasks will include assisting with equipment commissioning, safety protocols, operating the pilot plant, and preparation for future scale-up projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mechanical, mechatronic, or chemical engineering within a dynamic, innovative environment.

Kimberley-Clark
Kimberly-Clark (KC) Millicent Mill is a world class manufacturing facility where we make our leading brands and have done so for 65 years! In our first year of operations, we produced approximately 4,000 tonnes of toilet paper and tissue. Today, we produce approximately 85,000 tonnes per year.


    This position is located at our Millicent Mill, commencing in January 2026, and will span for a fixed 6-week period.

    Our Engineering Internship (Vacation Student) will focus on continuous improvement projects across our Mills Tissue and Converting assets. During the program the successful intern will be assigned projects to be completed across the 6 weeks.

    This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the role’s country only. Kimberly-Clark will not provide relocation support for this role.
