Wave Bay has a number of schools which cater to our local community. We also have three privately run child care centres.

North Bay R-7 School
"A dynamic and caring school community"
The North Bay R-7 school is located in the northern part of town. This school has provided public education for the town since 1898. It moved to its current site in 1986, with upgraded facilities.
The NB R-7 school embraces early years methodology, and primary and middle school philosophies.
It has approximately 300 students, many of whom attended the local kindergarten, and who will move to Wave Bay High School after Year 6.

Wave Park Primary and Pre-school
"Looking to the future of Wave Bay"
Wave Park Primary School serves students from the southern side of the Wave Bay community, and the surrounding areas.
The school caters for 200 students from Reception to Year 7, and offers pre-school education programs.
Wave Park Primary School delivers a broad and diversified curriculum, with a focus on literacy, numeracy and digital technologies.

Wave Bay Shore Primary School
"Striving for excellence"
Wave Bay Shore Primary School is a community school situated adjacent to the foreshore, close to the town centre.
The school provides for 350 students, including pre-school students. The school has a number of programs that support the development of the whole child, with particular emphasis on critical and creative thinking, ethical understanding, inclusivity and social responsibility.

Wave Bay Heights College
"Sound education in a caring environment"
The Wave Bay Heights College is a private school, situated to the northern side of the town, about 5 km from the town centre.
The school has 150 students, ranging from pre-school through to Year 12.
The school offers a broad, balanced, inclusive curriculum aimed at producing responsible, honest, healthy, independent, tolerant citizens.

Wave Bay High School
"Today's students, tomorrow's citizens"
Wave Bay High School is the only public secondary school in Wave Bay. It is situated adjacent to the foreshore, close to the town centre. The school has 1200 students, including 300 in Year 12.
The school's mission is to facilitate learning and enable the young people of Wave Bay and the surrounding areas to grow and develop, becoming ready to embrace the challenges and rewards of adult life.
The school offers a number of vocational programs for senior students, including nursing and IT technologies.
