Here in Wave Bay, we have our own 100-bed hospital, which includes an Accident and Emergency section.
The Wave Bay Hospital is situated in the centre of town, adjacent to the Wave Bay Shopping Centre.
WBH provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services to patients from across the Wave Bay and Hideaway Bay communities.
Patients can start their stay at WBH and then finish their care at a hospital in one of the neighbouring towns with specialist medical or allied health input when required. All hospitals in the region work collaboratively to support the patient care needs.
If you are experiencing a emergency (including a mental health emergency) you can present to the WBH accident and emergency service.

We also have two independent medical centres.
- The North Bay Medical Centre is located to the north of the town centre, on Cuttlefish St. This Centre has four full-time General Practitioners. As well as GP services, the NBMC provides chronic disease management, home health assessments, home medication reviews, and immunisations and travel services.

- The Health Matters Medical Centre is located adjacent to the Wave Bay Hospital. The GMC provides comprehensive personal care, and total family care. The Centre's three General Practitioners offer expertise in paediatrics, obstetrics, medical hypnosis, care of the elderly, palliative care, asthma, diabetes and women's health.
