Review of Progress is considered a major milestone within your candidature and takes place every six months.
We recommend HDR students book a time to work through the online form with your Principal supervisor. Include any delays in progress, personal issues, participation at events/conferences/workshops as well as any other achievements during this review. Reviews of Progress are a great way to document your progress as well as what you aim to achieve in the following six months of candidature.
You should, at a minimum, discuss the following with your supervisors:
- The current state of your research and/or thesis, including any concerns you have with your progress
- Any ethics approvals required or obtained
- Your milestones for the next 6 months, including training activities
- Your statement of agreement and whether this needs updating
HDR students will also be required to meet with their Research Degree Coordinator at least once a year to discuss their candidature as part of the Review of Progress policy.
STEM Research recommend you set up a one note or diary to document challenging times as well as triumphant times, to ensure you don't forget!
Students will either be enrolled in a Research Period 1 and Research Period 3 enrolment pattern, or a Research Period 2 and Research Period 4 enrolment pattern.
