Key issues when working with electronic devices
The first presentation in this series of four videos looks at the key issues you should consider when working at your computer. Particular attention is paid to the importance of having software programs and/or monitors that can increase font size when needed in order to avoid eye strain, and the health benefits affiliated with touch-typing.
The second presentation addresses the potential muscular-skeletal hazards affiliated with keyboard use and provides advice on alternative keyboards for different body types and the computer software Dragon.
The third addresses the potential muscular-skeletal hazards affiliated with the utilisation of a horizontal mouse and the health benefits of having a vertical mouse and correct monitor set-up.
In the final video Steve talks about eye focus and the neck strain that can occur with ongoing laptop and tablet use. He also talks about the need to lift both laptops and tablets during use so that the neck remains straight.
