Professional Associations
Becoming a member of a Professional Association can provide you valuable support and options throughout your time at University and also moving into your life as a new Graduate.
There are many professional bodies that exist and may suit your specific interest area and we encourage you to research these independently.
There are, however a couple that we support actively in promoting events to our students, and they offer free membership to UniSA students.
Engineers Australia
Engineers Australia (EA) is Australia’s national body for engineering. They have 120,000-plus members.
Established by Royal Charter, their purpose is to advance the science and practice of engineering for the benefit of the community. Engineers Australia shapes the future of Australia – creating happy, healthy, prosperous and sustainable communities
EA have a huge amount of resources available to student members, from free access to in person and virtual events, to virtual internship opportunities and a jobs board.
NexGen/Young Concrete Professionals
The NexGen/Young Concrete Professionals group is an initiative by the
Concrete Institute of Australia, dedicated to supporting students and young professionals
in the concrete and construction industry. Their mission is to provide invaluable
training, personal development, and industry-based networking opportunities for members.

Cost of Membership: For UniSA students, membership is free! Students need to apply as academic members and provide proof of enrolment. This special membership includes access to thousands of publications, discounted rates for seminars and events, and opportunities to build strong professional networks.
