Hello,

My name is Carmen and I am studying a Bachelor of Management (Human Resource Management). I am hoping to complete my degree at the end of this semester (end of SP2 2016). So far, I am not entirely sure what my goal is in my future career. However, it would be probably in the field of events, fashion, travel or food, working as an HR manager dealing with recruitment and other managerial issues. My placement is working for JAFA (Japan Australia Friendship Association), acting as a volunteer coordinator for their annual Japanese festival (Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival). I have already started preparation for this event, commencing late last December 2015 and I should have completed placement after the event in the beginning of May this year. It is my role to recruit volunteers, manage them and delegate roles based on their abilities to different roles in the festival. I will also participate in the festival, whilst assisting in any way I can with planning. After the festival, I am in charge of organising a party for celebrating the completion of the festival.
