Hi, my name is Jonathan Cadieux, I prefer to go by Jono but I am known in my place of work as JC as to differentiate between my colleague also named Jonathan. I am studying a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and hope to finish at the end of 2017. Once I graduate I would love to go on to study my Chartered Accountant Designation while continuing to work in the accounting firm I presently work in, being a Chartered Accountant is my dream job right now.

I am starting my placement on December 5, 2016 at Health and Life Chartered Accounting Firm in Adelaide and hoping to finish on January 27, 2017. During this placement I will be reviewing client files, financial statements and tax returns to ensure they are accurate and then sending these final documents to clients. I will be responsible for the next 3-4 client accounts to be finalised. Finalising an account involves reviewing and finalising all the financial statements, tax returns, annual general meeting minutes and management letter (outlining strategic and operational opportunities to make the practice more profitable) for a client group under the supervision of and with the assistance of the CEO. Some client groups will have just one trust to account for while others can have up to thirteen separate entities.

I very much look forward to increasing my responsibilities at my present employment and learning as much as I can through the process.
