Thermal efficiency testing of Solar Panels - VR of Mawson Lakes Practical

The University of South Australia is able to conduct thermal efficiency testing on solar panel collectors at the Mawson Lakes Campus using the Australian/New Zealand Standard (AS/NZS 2535.1:2007).

The layout of the facility is presented below:

You can explore this equipment before conducting your experiment using a virtual reality (VR) environment. 

By clicking on the map you will enter the control room.

Once inside you can:

  • Click and drag the mouse to explore the scenes
  • Click on the hot spots to open images/videos/information and navigate through scenes
  • You can also choose the scene from the pull-down list at the top of the screen.

Embedded are 8 videos prepared by your demonstrator, Lachlan Mudge (watch separately on YouTube), that will explain each of the components.
