The University has a dedicated Medical Sonography teaching and learning space, containing ultrasound equipment, phantoms and simulators.
Each of the core scanning have an onsite scanning workshop in each semester that they are run. These workshops are non-compulsory, and are offered to all students across the range of scanning abilities. Often these are run as a hybrid onsite and live streamed event.
Students also access a wide variety of equipment via their training positions in their workplace.
As all our courses are delivered flexibly online, it offers opportunities for the use of diverse strategies and approaches to technology-enhanced learning to develop critical reasoning, logical thinking and problem solving abilities..
The University maintains and supports a quality learning platform Moodle for delivering online education.
The library has an extensive collection of databases, journals, ebooks and online articles which are made available electronically for students enrolled into the Medical Sonography courses. The library regularly purchases the latest online resources, particularly online videos, which are then streamed via the library.
Excellent administrative services exist within the University.

A wide range of IT facilities as well as other student services like Disability services, Counselling services, Language and Learning services, Learning and Teaching Services, and Career services are available to support and help our students.
Staff are well supported with their scholarship of teaching and learning via the resources provided by the Teaching Innovation Unit
In relation to staff: student ratios, the following guideline has been adopted by the Postgraduate Medical Sonography team:
1:30 in a general practical setting like a revision workshop.
1:5 if learning new techniques and performing hands-on activities in a workshop.
1:1 for students to practice their hands-on scanning skills using simulators and phantoms.
