Students are expected to be appropriately dressed during placements and when engaging with women through the Continuity of Care Experiences. Health and safety, security and infection control considerations will be given priority while recognising and accommodating cultural norms and religious requirements where possible.
Clothing
Shirt: UniSA Nursing and Midwifery blue and white pinstripe buttoned shirt
Skirt: Navy, knee length
Trousers: Navy, professional cut
Shoes
Meet WHS requirements
Provide full protection (i.e. closed tops, enclosed heel, no holes or vents)
Be non-porous, (i.e. leather) easily cleaned and well maintained.
Have slip resistant soles
Name badges
Preferably magnetic badges, UniSA logo with first name only and designation
Infection control - Bare below the elbows
Hair must be tied away from the face and shirt collar
Headwear worn for cultural or religious purposes must be tucked into the shirt
No jewellery is to be worn below the elbows (a plain wedding ring is acceptable)
