Hello my name is Keeley,

I am currently studying Tourism and Event Management internally. I am in my third year which I hope to be finishing by July this year.

Post graduation I hope to get into the field of events or in tourism as I've always had a passion for organising big moments in peoples lives (holiday memories, event memories).

My placement is at a Hotel Richmond which is located in Rundle Mall. I am to start mid January (9th) and be finished 15 days after the start date.  

The tasks I will be involved in overseeing the events, helping prepare event order forms, seeing the way the event office functions and how it ties to other areas of the business. I will be sitting in on meetings of possible clients, seeing the logistics which goes behind every different event. I have been told every week is different and every customer has different needs and requirements. Overall I will be learning how to adjust and cater for specific customers needs to give them the best possible experience at their event.
