This meta learnonline site serves as the central repository of educational information for three courses, namely COMP 5074 Cryptography and Data Protection, COMP 5075 Telecommunications and Device Security and EEET 3016 Power Electronics, all coordinated by Dr. Yee Wei Law.
This knowledge base was created in December 2022, but is still under active development.
If the fonts in this knowledge base look ridiculously large, that is because they need to in order for the content here to be legible on a Zoom screen.
In case the connection between the aforementioned courses is not obvious, consider this: Cybersecurity is the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration of computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communication, including information contained therein, to ensure its availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation. As power electronic systems become increasingly computerised and connected to critical infrastructure, their cybersecurity becomes increasingly a concern.
Machine learning is such a versatile tool that it is useful to a wide range of fields, including cybersecurity and power electronics, so a glossary on machine learning is provided.
