Students will be assessed on how well they can:

On completion of this course, students should be able to:
  • CO1. Understand the basic laws of electromagnetism and the principles of electromechanical energy conversion
  • CO2. Evaluate and analyse the performance of various electrical machines such as dc machines, induction machines, and synchronous machines.
  • CO3. Understand the operation and characteristics of transformers and special purpose machines.
