The Enhancing Teaching and Learning pillar of the Teaching Academic Group focuses on the development and facilitation of professional learning workshops and collaborative peer review activities.
This aims to support the next phase of their academic career progression, by encouraging staff to engage with contemporary literature on higher education pedagogies and develop a reflective practitioner approach to teaching at university.
This can set the foundation for the early presentations of scholarship of teaching at conferences.
You will be introduced to enabling and culturally responsive pedagogies in the workshops. While enabling pedagogical approaches have been developed in response to the need to cater for increasingly diverse cohorts of students in pathway programs at the College, Education Futures supports the adoption of enabling pedagogies as best practice across all of the programs.
