MMET MINOR LEARNING AREAS AND ELECTIVE OPTIONS
The Master of Teaching program has specific undergraduate pre-requisites you need to meet for your major and minor learning areas. The Program Director assesses and approves applicants to be eligible to teach in a Major Learning Area and a Minor Learning Area based on the following criteria:
To be eligible to study Masters in a Major Learning Area, a student must have undertaken six courses in that field, with two of those courses at 2nd year level and two at a 3rd year level.
To be eligible to study Masters in a Minor Learning Area, a student must have undertaken four courses in that field, with two of those courses at 2nd year level.
If you have not been approved for a minor learning area you will need to select from a NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE LEARNING AREA OPTION IN THE FILE BELOW
***ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS***
In most cases, it is a requirement of your Student Visa that you study this program for 2 years in duration. .
Please ensure you use the 24 Month / 2 year enrolment advice (Maple Leaf students have approval for 18 months or 2 years) or please contact your provider or InternationalSupport@unisa.edu.au for further confirmation regarding the 18 month option.

If you are a mid-year entry student and have selected to study a TESOL minor please use the specialised enrolment advice below.
