Option 1. Park in the Multi-Storey Carpark

The multi-story car park is available to students.  

Students often park in the multi-story car park on their first day.  The "all day" cost is $17, there are no student discounts available.

Option 2. Park in the Surrounding Suburbs or at Flinders University

Some students park in the surrounding suburbs and walk to FMC. Mitchell Park is a popular suburb for students (and staff) to park in. It is not recommended that you walk back to your car at night after you have finished an afternoon shift (2200 hrs). Note that all streets directly adjacent to the hospital are marked as no parking zones- it is your responsibility to ensure that you are legally parked.

Option 3. Park on Riverside Drive, near McDonalds.  Always ask someone to walk with you back to your car after a PM shift, or ask Security on Level 3 (near ED) to escort you, they are available.

Parking Fines

FMC security and Mitcham council are regularly checking for cars parked illegaly. You want to avoid a fine at all costs! On one day in 2014 six students received fines totaling $300... beware.  Fines would be even more expensive now.
