The Murray Bridge Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (MBSMH) is a teaching hospital and is part of the Country Health SA Local Health Network. This network oversees the public hospitals and health services across rural South Australia. Murray Bridge is the main health hub in the Mallee Coorong region. 

Murray Bridge is situated approximately 1 hour east of Adelaide, 75km from the Adelaide CBD via the South Eastern Freeway. Murray Bridge has a population of approximately 21,000 and the Mallee Coorong region has a population of approximately 16,000.

 The Murray Bridge Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is a 47 bed acute hospital comprising of medical, surgical, maternity and an operating theatre complex which includes day surgery
