"In 2011, SA Health established SAMI to provide a statewide medical imaging
service. SAMI is responsible for providing all medical imaging services at the state’s
metropolitan and country public hospitals, including:

• General X-ray
• Computed Tomography (CT)
• Magnetic Resonance Tomography (MRI)
• Ultrasound
• Fluoroscopy
• Mammography
• Nuclear Medicine
• Angiography

SAMI also provides teaching and training for the public hospital network’s various
clinical disciplines. The majority of imaging services are provided by SAMI, however
there are contracts with external third party service providers at Modbury Hospital,
Noarlunga Hospital and many Country Health SA sites."
