First Day of Placement Information

Welcome to SAMI – TQEH NM site.  We look forward to hosting you on placement soon.

Your hours on your first day will be 8:45 to 17:00

You will find our department at Level 3A of the old red building (known as Tower/Main Building). The lifts are at the centre of the tower block, and there are 2 entrances. (See red arrows)

On your first day, please report to the front desk in Nuclear Medicine at 08:45hours, and ask for Tess.

Please bring your Clinical Workbook (white folder), Passport-to-Placement, evidence of your FIT test mask size, and Luxel.

In case of sick leave, please call 8222 6431 after 08:45 hours to notify staff, as well as email your Course Coordinator and Clinical Placement Coordinator Emma Liu (Emma.Liu@sa.gov.au).

If you are driving to placement, you will find parking at the following highlighted locations

Park from Glenhuntley Street down to around the bend, or anywhere along Koolunda Avenue as these two streets have parks available 99.9% of the time - these are both around a 10min walk to the department.

If being dropped off, enter from Gate 2 on Woodville Road. There is a bus stop directly out the front of the hospital and Woodville train station is a 10m walk away.
