24024              NODULAR COLLOID GOITRE

This 78 year old woman was admitted with a fatal cerebral haemorrhage.  The goitre was an incidental finding.

The specimen shows the thyroid gland with a multinodular goitre.  There is a small colloid cyst in the left lobe of the thyroid.
