5459                SACCULAR BRONCHIECTASIS AND EMPHYSEMA

The patient had bronchopneumonia 12 years previously and since then had persistent shortness of breath with repeated attacks of asthma.

The specimen which comprises the right lung shows the lower lobe completely replaced by cystic spaces varying in size up to 3.0 cm in diameter.
