AORTO-ILIAC THROMBOSIS, 16604
16604 AORTO-ILIAC THROMBOSIS
The patient was a man of 65 who died as a result of widespread thrombotic disease superimposed upon severe atherosclerosis.
The specimen consists of the lower abdominal aorta, renal arteries and both kidneys. There is extensive antemortem aortic thrombus apparently extending into the iliac arteries. The kidneys however are not infarcted.
