54 PAPILLARY CARCINOMA OF RENAL PELVIS
No clinical information is available.
The specimen is of a kidney measuring 9 cms in length and has been partially opened to disclose a large papillary carcinoma of the renal pelvis growing as a pale friable mass into the pelvis. There is a good deal of intrarenal hydronephrosis from obstruction to the ureteric origin and there are some petechial haemorrhages beneath the mucosa in a few places.
