20                    SEMINOMA

There was a history of 2 months slightly painful testicular swelling.  The patient died 4 years later of abdominal secondaries.

The specimen consists of the testis, epididymis and 10 cms of the spermatic cord.  The testis is uniformly enlarged to form a smooth-surfaced spheroidal mass 7 x 5 x 4 cms.  The cut surface shows uniform pale fleshy tissue without any necrosis or lobulation.
