50052/83A      HISTIOCYTIC LYMPHOMA DEPOSITS IN SPLEEN

The patient was a man aged 36.

The specimen consists of the spleen which is enlarged and contains irregular tumour deposits of the non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Malignant lymphoma may involve the spleen diffusely or as masses, as in this case.
